GitLab - AI Review Result

After the Code Review Agent completes the code review process, the results will be displayed in a structured format consisting of three key sections: Change Summary, Code Review Summary and Inline Comments.

1. Change Summary

This section provides a high-level overview of the changes included in the pull request that the Code Review Agent has analyzed.

Type of Change: Categorized into Enhancement, Bugfix, Tests, Documentation, etc.
Description: Summarizes the purpose and scope of the changes.
Example:
- Introduced incremental review functionality with database integration
- Improved thread handling for multi-line comments
- Added unit tests for new review logic
PR Files: Click to expand and view the list of files affected by the pull request (e.g., 14 files modified).

2. Code Review Summary

This section highlights the Code Review Agent's findings and evaluations across the reviewed files.

Review Summary: General assessment of the pull request’s quality.
Issues Summary: Aggregated list of issues by severity (e.g., Critical, High, Medium, Low).
Key Issues to Review:
Lists all detected issues including:
- File Name
- Line Number
- Issue DescriptionSource (e.g., AgentVista AI, SonarQube)
Security Concerns (if any): Security vulnerabilities or patterns identified by the AI.

3. Inline Comments

Inline comments are context-aware code feedback shown directly next to the affected lines.

‍Note: This section is only displayed when issues are detected in specific lines of code.

Each inline comment includes:

Feedback: Explanation of the issue, why it matters, and potential impact.
Improvement Suggestion: A suggested code fix or best practice.
Interaction Options
‍Apply suggestion: Directly apply the suggested fix into the code file.

User Actions on Inline Comments

You can interact directly with inline comments:

Apply suggestion: Instantly apply the AI-suggested fix to the source code. Once applied, open the commit dialog to finalize the changes.

User Actions on Inline Comments

Inline comments and suggestions from the Code Review Agent are visible in Changes Tab

Summarizes issues across the PR by listing:

Affected lines (e.g., Line 23–27)
Error descriptions and suggested fixes.
Designed for quick review and high-level understanding of what needs attention.
